Sheet Metal Bending Machine Manufacturer
SBM series bending machines with 1000-3000 mm bending length and 3-10 mm capacity for workshops and fabrication units.

Sheet metal bending machine for everyday fabrication
A sheet metal bending machine folds flat sheet into angles, channels, trays and boxes. On the Devraj SBM series, the sheet is held between a punch and die and bent by a powered ram, with a bending angle range of 0 to 135 degrees. It is a practical choice for fabricators who bend sheet up to 10 mm and want a robust, easy-to-run machine.
The SBM range runs from a 1000 mm bench-scale model to a 3000 mm machine, so small workshops and larger fabrication units can each find a size that fits their parts and floor space.

Specifications are Devraj's published standard models. Maximum thickness applies to mild steel at the full bending length; stainless steel and high-tensile sheet reduce the capacity. Confirm with us for your material.
How it works
The machine has four main parts: the bed, which carries the lower die and supports the sheet; the ram or punch, which presses the sheet into the die; the die, which sets the bend shape and radius; and the drive, which provides the bending force. The operator sets the flange position, places the sheet and operates the ram. Repeating the bend at different positions builds up channels, trays and boxes.
Sheet metal bending machine vs press brake
Both bend sheet with a punch and die. The term "sheet bending machine" is widely used for simpler machines in the lower capacity range, while "press brake" usually means a machine with precise ram control, a back gauge and a wide tooling range. If you need programmable bending, many bends per part or more than 10 mm capacity, look at the press brake range, including CNC sheet metal bending on CNC press brakes.
Typical applications
- Electrical boxes, junction boxes and control panel parts
- Ducting, flashing and roofing accessories
- Trays, covers, guards and machine body panels
- Steel furniture and storage components
- Agricultural equipment and trolley parts

Choosing the right SBM model
- Find your longest bend. Pick the model whose bending length is longer.
- Check the thickest sheet you bend at that length against the maximum thickness column.
- For stainless steel, allow lower capacity, or choose the next model up.
- Check floor space and weight against the overall dimensions in the table.
Frequently asked questions
What is a sheet metal bending machine?
A machine that bends flat metal sheet into angles, channels, curves and profiles using a punch and die. It is used in fabrication, automotive, construction, HVAC and panel manufacturing.
What thickness can the SBM series bend?
From 3 mm (SBM-1000) to 10 mm (SBM-3000) at the full bending length, for mild steel.
What bending angle is possible?
The SBM series covers 0 to 135 degrees.
Is a sheet bending machine the same as a press brake?
They work on the same principle. A press brake usually offers more control, a back gauge and a wider range of tooling and capacity. See the comparison above.
Do you make CNC sheet metal bending machines?
Yes. For CNC bending, see our CNC press brake machines.
